William doing fourth workout -- front upper isometric

Today was another tough day to get started.  However, the beauty of this program is that I only need to commit to 25 minutes.  I came home from work, took an unplanned nap while still in my work clothes, and woke up knowing I had some unfinished business with my 30-pound sandbag.

I did a couple of things differently today.  I played music during my workout this time, but surprisingly, I didn’t enjoy it.  I felt like it affected my concentration.  Being that I haven’t exercised consistently in four years, I am finding the sound of my exertion enjoyable.  I set a timer for 26 minutes and completed all three cycles with about 6 seconds to spare.  So I’m proud of myself for hitting all three cycles.  I was ready to stop after the second round in cycle 3, but when I saw on my timer that there were about three minutes left, I told myself, “I have 3 minutes of work left in me!”  I will admit, I cheated about 8 seconds total in this workout.  I’ll do better next time, we all will.

You started your second week William – that’s fantastic! I always say the best way to approach it is this: 1 cycle at a time; one run through the video at a time; one workout at a time; one week at a time. Best not to think ahead – you only bring the suffering to mind and it’s worse in your head than in reality. By my last cycle, I’m thinking one phase at a time! — Steve, @miniworkoutdad

Completed, but not finished. Just the start!. Cycled home from work and straight into it in a nice shady and breezy part of the garden. No pain 😁. Roll on the next one.

As the routine becomes familiar the fluidity improves. The first cycle feels like the longest but it goes quickly after that – crikey it’s only 25 minutes there’s no excuse. Maintained  34lb but kept weight further away from body. Still struggling on overhead isometric as bag wants to flop on my head and can’t quite…

I had a four day family gathering (Fri to Mon) where I was away from home. No chance to workout, so this is my belated no. 9. Sorry!

What a hot one. Left it until 7pm and still roasting! Unfortunately, that means mossies out for blood – and a horse fly! Still got 8 rounds done. Here’s me crazy hot afterwards!
