William after workout number three of his Kickstart

Day three was the most difficult mentally so far.  I was feeling lazy today and did not want to do it.  I had to remind myself that I’m an adult and sometimes we do what we need to do, not what we want to do.  As soon as I completed that last lunge, it felt all worth it.  That’s why I’m writing this down, to remind myself of this feeling when it is complete.  The boost in pride, self-esteem, and trust in myself…it’s worth it.  I bumped my weight up to 30lbs.  My hands were screaming by the second cycle.  I think I’ll stick with 30lbs for a bit.  I still haven’t completed a workout in 25 minutes, oh, but it’s coming.

Hey William – I love the mental switch you made 💪 It’s always worth it when you’re finished! It’s great that you’re thinking about pushing yourself already too – Steve, @miniworkoutdad

Always harder doing this at the end of the day rather than the start! reverse cycle feels easier on the grip strength. I’m looking at this 25 x 3 times a week like “tooth brushing” – it’s gotta be done. Just over half way.  Exactly. We clean our teeth because of what we don’t want…

Worked out 17/6. It was really hard (hot!). I purposely tried to do all the exercises correctly and to not keep stopping. I really felt it, but didn’t give up – amazingly. Next one Thursday!

Struggled with pain around the elbow today. Completed but reduced weight by removing weight plate.
