William after workout number three of his Kickstart

Day three was the most difficult mentally so far.  I was feeling lazy today and did not want to do it.  I had to remind myself that I’m an adult and sometimes we do what we need to do, not what we want to do.  As soon as I completed that last lunge, it felt all worth it.  That’s why I’m writing this down, to remind myself of this feeling when it is complete.  The boost in pride, self-esteem, and trust in myself…it’s worth it.  I bumped my weight up to 30lbs.  My hands were screaming by the second cycle.  I think I’ll stick with 30lbs for a bit.  I still haven’t completed a workout in 25 minutes, oh, but it’s coming.

Hey William – I love the mental switch you made 💪 It’s always worth it when you’re finished! It’s great that you’re thinking about pushing yourself already too – Steve, @miniworkoutdad

Completed ok, no harsh pain so the rest has helped. Left it late because of the heat today. Pleased to have achieved it. Roll on tomorrow.  Oh yeah I didn’t increase the weight, I played on the side of caution but will soon.

So, I dropped the weight to 25 pounds, and this workout was STILL more challenging than I remembered!  My hands were absolutely smoked, and I only completed two cycles.  But I showed up, and to me, that counts more than anything.  I’ll drop the weight down to 20 pounds if I have to, but I…

Today was another tough day to get started.  However, the beauty of this program is that I only need to commit to 25 minutes.  I came home from work, took an unplanned nap while still in my work clothes, and woke up knowing I had some unfinished business with my 30-pound sandbag.  I did a…
