William completing his fifth workout on Kickstart

Today, day five, the mental battle was self-inflicted.  I felt motivated to come home from work today and complete my workout.  I sat down and started doom-scrolling, almost wasting an entire hour!

Anyway, I am still working with 30lbs.  In the first cycle, it felt like those beeps were coming quickly.  I am feeling a slight increase in my strength and endurance.  I did not cheat on any of my exercises and was in position from the first beep until the last.  The second cycle felt more strenuous.  I had to take a break between my second and third cycle, once again reminding myself that I had at least eight more minutes of work left in me.  My most significant gains are coming in my confidence.  This is the most consistent I’ve been with fitness in quite some time.  I gotta take it one three-minute round at a time, and I’ve got this!

Brilliant – did it 9 full sets. It was tough but great. Feels like form is improving a bit and weight getting a bit easier. …onward

Wow, starting to really feel the benefit. Tiredness kicks in at about halfway, but managed 8.5 cycles in the 25 mins. We just keep going… You’re doing awesome Michael. It’s tough but it needs to be to shock your body into adapting. Keep going! — Steve

A muggy one. Got out early (just after 10am) to beat the heat. Legs wobbling at the end, but made my 8 cycles. 1 week done!
